Sidney-Shelby County YMCA Events:

Health and Awareness Fair

Saturday, March 27 from 8:30 am-12:00 pm, Dorothy Love Retirement Community will host the Shelby County Health and Awareness Fair. The Sidney-Shelby County YMCA is proud to once again be co-sponsoring the annual event with Dorothy Love Retirement Community, Wilson Memorial Hospital and the Senior Center of Sidney-Shelby County.

Spring Break Bash

Register your child now for the Spring Break Bash at the YMCA. Students grades K-6 will be able to participate in organized sports activities, trips, crafts, youth center activities and swimming. March 29 and 30 from 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Fees are members $50 and non-members $70.

Sports Acceleration

Children ages 8-16 can join personal fitness trainer Melissa Weston as she takes them through a comprehensive program that focuses on the most essential aspects of successful sports performances. Classes are Wednesdays from 4:30-5:15 pm. April and May sessions are available. Fees are members $15 and non-members $27.50.

Art through the Ages

Your kids can learn about famous artists and then try their hand at creating a masterpiece using the tools and techniques of “the Masters”! All supplies are included in the fee, however it is suggested that students bring an oversized shirt or smock to protect their clothing. Open to grades K-5, Thursdays from 4:00-5:00 pm. April and May sessions are available. Fees are members $25.00 and non-members $37.50.

New Session Begins

A new session will begin Friday, April 2, register for your favorite classes today at the YMCA Welcome Center or visit us online at www.sidney-ymca.org.

Come Tumble with the Easter Bunny

Saturday, April 3 from 9:00-10:00 am your children ages 2-6 can tumble, hunt Easter eggs, do a craft and get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Fees are $10.

Holiday Closings

The YMCA will be closed on Sunday, April 4 for Easter.

5th Annual YMCA Great Miami River Adventure Triathlon

The 5th Annual YMCA Great Miami River Adventure Triathlon will be held Saturday, May 22 at 9:00 am. To register, or if you or someone you know is interested in being a part of this event as a sponsor, please contact the Sidney-Shelby County YMCA at (937) 492-9134 or download the registration form at www.sidney-ymca.org.

Network for Job Seekers

The Network for Job Seekers meets weekly at the YMCA on Thursdays from 8:30-10:30 am. Anyone in the community who would benefit from this type of support group is welcome to attend at no cost. Advance registration is not required.
