The
YMCA offers a variety of memberships that are tailored to single,
family and older adults. Take a look below at the membership categories
to see what's right for you.
The national theme ("YMCA. We build strong kids, strong families,
strong communities." ) epitomizes our positioning. It communicates
the YMCA movement's pledge to be the premier not-for-profit organization
offering programs that build spirit, mind, and body and that make
a positive difference in the lives of children and teens, families,
and communities. Our services, whether we're providing them on our
own or in collaboration with others, involve our members in the
full mission of the YMCA and promote positive values, build life
skills, and improve health and wellness.
Financial assistance is also available. Anyone
who lives or works in Shelby County is eligible for financial help
with the cost of membership and classes; just stop by the front
desk for an application! The Assistance offered is based on the
needs of the applicant and ranges from partial to full sponsorship.
Over $70,000 is raised annually to support this program, with over
700 individuals assisted every year. Click here to download our
