Sidney-Shelby County YMCA Events:Holiday ClosingsThe Y will be closed September 6 for Labor Day. YMCA 5K Walk/RunThe 6th Annual YMCA 5K Walk/Run, sponsored by the Spot Restaurant, is scheduled to start at 8:30 am at the Sidney-Shelby County YMCA on Saturday, September 11. Race registrations are available at the Y Welcome Center, at www.sidney-ymca.org and at www.shelbycounty5ktour.com. Art through the AgesEach session students will learn about two different artists and then try their hand at creating their own masterpiece using the tools and techniques of "the Masters"! All supplies are included in the fee, however, it is suggested that students bring an over-sized shirt or smock to protect their clothing. The September Session will be held September 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 4:00-4:45 pm or 5:00-5:45 pm. Fees are members $25 and non-members $37.50. Preschool PJ PartyFriday, September 10 from 7:00-9:00 pm bring your 3-5 year old preschooler to the YMCA for Kinetics fun. They can wear their favorite pajamas, jump on the trampoline, swing on the bars, do a craft and watch a movie. Fees are members $10 and non-members $15. Kids Night OutKid’s Night Out will be held Friday, September 17 from 7:00-10:00 pm in the Kinetics Gym. Games, jumping on the trampoline, arts, crafts and movies are all part of this event for children ages 5-11. Fees are members $10 and non-members $15. Corporate Basketball LeagueCorporate Basketball League will start September 19. If you have a team and are interested in being a part of this league, please contact the Y for more information.
