Welcome to the Y!

Welcome to the Y. We're an inclusive organization of men, women and children joined together by a shared commitment to youth development, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility.

We know that lasting personal and social change comes about when we all work together. That’s why, at the Y, strengthening community is our cause. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive, with a mission to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

Shoes for Seeds

YMCA’s of America Shoes for Seeds Program - Y's Go Green to Help Y’s Overseas!

Why not do some Spring Cleaning, then stop at the Y and donate a pair of used athletic shoes! They do not have to be in great condition. Spread the word to your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers! Help us collect at least 150 pairs of shoes!

Every donated pair of used athletic shoes sends 10 tree seeds to a Y o...verseas and helps remove carbon from the atmosphere.

Over the last seven years, Y’s have collected thousands of used athletic shoes to help the More Foundation (formerly PPPF.) The More Foundation sends tree seeds and training to Y's overseas. The overseas Y’s then plant a variety of trees, which provides them food, fuel, fiber, and income.
